Engagement with federal, state and local governments where necessary regarding projects SMEC is undertaking in Australia.

SMEC Australia Pty. Limited is a company member of the Surbana Jurong Group and will be undertaking stakeholder engagement and government relations on their behalf in relation to projects SMEC is responsible for in Australia. 
Surbana Jurong Group is 100% owned by Temasek Holdings Limited which is owned by the Government of Singapore.
SMEC’s relationship with the foreign principal being the Singapore Minister for Finance is by virtue that under the Singapore Minister for Finance (Incorporation) Act 1959, the Minister for Finance is a body corporate, and is the single shareholder of Temasek, who owns Surbana Jurong Group, who owns SMEC.
SMEC engages with Australian governments is to raise awareness of their engineering consulting activities in Australia and of SMEC’s capabilities as an engineering consultancy.
SMEC engages Primary Comms Group to provide government and communications counsel and support.
All Primary Comms Groups employees who service SMEC in the execution of these activities are also registered on the Australian lobbyist registers (and all state and territory registers).
