Activity description | 2023 Japan Symposium “Australia and Japan: Technology partnerships towards a more secure future” The Japan Symposium 2023 convened two bespoke dialogues consisting of senior officials and analysts from Australia, Japan, and key regional partners to discuss and analyse the technology landscape; technology development, use, and regulation; and Australia-Japan bilateral and minilateral cooperation in this area. Following these discussions a public forum was held with over the 200 attendees from civil society, business, government and academia to increase public understanding on the future of the Australia-Japan partnership, and to generate policy recommendations to broaden cooperation on a wide range of technologies. |
