Activity description
 The 2021 Japan Symposium "Australia and Japan: Securing an open and rules-based Indo-Pacific economic region" will bring together senior officials, experts and strategic thinkers from Australia, Japan and the broader Indo-Pacific. The program aims to facilitate expert-led discussion about the complex challenges the two nations face in terms of free trade and value chains, and enhance cooperation between Australia and Japan to secure an open and rules-based Indo-Pacific economic region. 
The Symposium will principally comprise an online private dialogue, and a mixed-format (in-person and live stream) public event, the program will bring together a high-level group of policy experts and senior officials from Australia, Japan and the region.
