JERA Co is a 50/50 joint venture between Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) and Chubu Electric Power Company. JERA Co is 100% owner of JERA Austarlia Pty Ltd.
JERA Co is a foreign government investor. Nuclear Damage Liability Facilitation Fund (which is 50% owned by the Japanese Government) holds approximately 54.74% of TEPCO HD's share capital (which in turn, owns 50% of JERA's share capital through TEPCO FP's shareholding in JERA). As a consequence of the operation of the tracing provisions in the Act, this means that the Japanese Government holds a 50% interest in JERA. |
