The 2019 Japan Symposium will convene a high-calibre mix of 25 strategic thinkers, senior officials and academics from Australia, Japan and ASEAN. The Symposium will principally comprise a half-day private dialogue and a public event aimed at exploring trilateral engagement and leadership between Japan, Australia and ASEAN in the Indo-Pacific. The private dialogue will have a policy focus and the public forum will focus on how Japan has successfully engaged with ASEAN in the spheres of business and economics.
